This is not a serious project yet, but once I finish the projects ahead of it in my queue then it will be.

Right now my highest priority is completing and documenting annah, but either this project or my Haskell book will be next in my queue.

Very helpful README. In the context of a large-scale language migration, I'm curious if you envision that a transition to PureScript being a stop-gap measure or the end-goal. I suppose, since PureScript runs within a Haskell app, there is decent interoperability with Haskell itself?

Now I'm curious about annah, which it seems is also missing a README. 😉

In the cases I had in mind PureScript would be the end goal. I would like to eventually do the same for a restricted subset of Haskell, but right now PureScript is more back-end friendly.

In the really long-term I'd actually prefer to use morte as an intermediate language for migrating languages, using a style similar to pandoc: you define conversions to and from morte for a large number of languages and then you can convert between any two languages. This reduces the number of language conversions you have to write from N^2 to 2N (where N is the number of languages).

One of the goals of annah (not the only goal) is to make it easier to translate languages to and from morte since annah handles details like translating data types and other higher-order features into lambda calculus.

I've intentionally omitted a README from annah because keeping a couple of cool things secret motivates me to complete the project. If I pre-announced things then I'd rapidly lose interest
