Cotabby primarily operates as a menu bar application, with its main user interface accessible through the Settings window.
Currently, when Cotabby is already running, opening Settings requires multiple steps:
- Click the menu bar icon.
- Select Settings.
It would be helpful if launching Cotabby from Spotlight (or Finder) while the app is already running would automatically bring the Settings window to the foreground.
Suggested Behavior
- If Cotabby is not running, launch normally.
- If Cotabby is already running and the user launches it again via Spotlight, Finder, or another app-launch mechanism:
- Open the Settings window (or bring it to the front if already open).
- Activate the application and focus the Settings window.
Benefits
- Faster access to the app’s primary interface.
- More consistent with user expectations on macOS, where relaunching an already-running app often brings its main window forward.
- Reduces friction for users who frequently adjust settings but don’t want to navigate through the menu bar each time.
