longToken Alignment Guidelines

• Do not pretty-print the edition files.
• When you set <longToken> elements around long passages in 1831, space the passage inside the ` in on one very long line. (You can toggle on the line wrap for this: Ctrl Shift Y
  (Why, you may ask? Because collateX will break the longToken into separate tokens if it finds a newline return character.)

• Do pretty-print the collation output so you can see it.
• Before you re-run the collation, save the collation-complete.xml file as Collation_C15-complete-old.xml (your unit here), so you can compare the new output against the old one.
• Again, when you re-run the collation, remember to pretty-print the new output.
• Then open the oXygen diffing tool: Tools >> Compare Files. Select the file you marked "old" on one side, and the new output on the other. If you've pretty-printed them both they'll be easy to compare so you can see the effects of your longToken placement more quickly.
