internal link text is not wrapping, leading to overflow

Then class .preview, that is applied to internal links, inherits white-space: nowrap; from .common-link, leading to overlapping text and awkward line breaks:

I just looked for "nowrap" in our issues and found #142 and #205. So, I've been there before …

Looking at these issues it seems the root cause for the "nowrap" was/is the positioning of the popovers (which fails if the link text breaks onto a new line). I tried to work around that in eda20c2 and introduced some JavaScript that should remove the "nowrap" for longish link texts.

I don't have a proper solution at hand but merely wanted to provide some background.
