i never realized that there are so damned many gods...

certainly having a drop down list of every god of every religion would be crazy

is there a way to narrow this all down? i dont know...

Maybe a search functionality? So if you're praying for 'business,' you type that in, and it just pulls up gods who are related to business, etc.

Agreed - it should include a "domain specific" option: business, agriculture, sex, love, retrieving hidden information, smiting one's enemies, etc

Perhaps relevant here: can a negative-results outcome be considered a "prayer" - like if you want someone to get sick, or have harm come to something.... or is that a curse and should it be covered by a different application? I have a feeling Apple store wouldn't allow a "curse" application, but there's one way to find out

it could also be that we make up our own modern syncretic epithets, like

"Prince of Savings"
"Admiral of the Afterlife"
"Lord of Shopping"
"Vice-Regent of Alcohol"
"Lustalis"
"Plantasia"

etc

You may be able also to "roll the dice" so to speak and see if there is an available deity who is maybe bored and looking for work, who might be willing to take your request, even though its not specifically in their typical domain
