Outcome

Supported functions work with the current geospatial ecosystem and declare CRS, coordinate, unit, and failure semantics.

Parent tasks

• resolve H3 Library incompatible with latest H3 version #38, OSMnx ox.get_nearest_nodes update required #20, CRS Add Coordinate Reference System (crs) to generated GeoDataFrames  #27, HDX Error when downloading hdx population density maps #19/Bug: search_hdx_dataset fails with CKANAPIError / HDXError #52, and merge reuse urbanpy.geom.merge_shape_hex function raise an error when is re-runned and assigned to same hexagon dataframe variable #14
• decide scope of masked HDX Query population usign city boundaries to avoid loading all country data #30 and progress reporting Add progressbar to forloop to give the user feedback #31
• audit public exports and replace broad exception/sentinel/print behavior
• add deterministic correctness and API compatibility snapshots

Acceptance

All supported APIs have regression coverage and documented migration for behavior changes.
