Question: Play VR while host PC is being used?

hi! wondering if it's possible to play vr, while another person uses host pc? i've tried running virtual desktop (VD) and SteamVR (Steam Link), no success. VD just crashes, while SteamVR says that "host pc is locked" (attaching screenshot) OR it just constantly relaunches SteamVR application; probably worth mentioning that crashes occur on any other profile (User2), except currently being logged in on pc (for example User1 is used on host pc and User1 is being used via Duo at the same time, says pc is locked, User2 via Duo constantly relaunches SteamVR)

has anyone tried running anything in vr using duo? i succeeded running only moonlight client on headset and Steam Link as regular client.
if it matters - i use oculus quest 2, VD and Steam Link from meta store; windows 11 25h2 26200.8457, duo v.1.5.7.

I stumbled upon the same issue. Turns out SteamVR only isn't working when "Isolate Steam" is on. Turning it off 'fixed' it for me.

thanks, I'll try that, but the problem is i wanted to play vr while steam is running on host pc too

solved that problem by buying 2nd pc xD

Let's hope @Black-Seraph finds a fix for that. Until then, instead of buying a second pc you could also use a Hyper-V Windows VM for a Steam isolation that doesn't break SteamVR.

I've tried that earlier for non-vr gaming. performance was horrible. felt like all that was left from rtx 3090 is 390 :)
2nd pc was pretty cheap for the specs and i wanted to buy it to separate game sessions anyways because of problems with some games running simultaneously and constant steam isolation problems (5/10 times opening steam on host pc will close steam on duo session) causing games to forcefully close
