I tried running Smallcode on Fedora Linux 43 in Gnome Terminal. I can use my self-hosted model, but the screen flickers so much that it makes Smallcode unbearable to use for me. Other TUI programs (for example Vim, Neovim, Lazygit, OpenCode) don't show any flickering.
The flickering happens both with dark and light background, but on light background (which I use) it's far more noticable.
I'm running Smallcode 1.6.0 from the Github release page, unpacked to ~/.smallcode. The version of Gnome Terminal is "Version 3.56.3 for GNOME 48 ... Using VTE version 0.82.3 +BIDI +GNUTLS +ICU +SYSTEMD." My desktop environment is Mate 1.28.2.
