I've been enjoying simple coil but I think it's missing a critical piece to the dedicated server/client user experience. It would be great if the client connecting to it had a button or something in which we could enter a simple code to access more of the settings without being at the console. Changing game type, GPS, and other settings would be great. Basically a way to issue a change to the settings on the server from the "admin" client. This would allow for a truly headless server and more flexibility with the way the game is used.
I'd also love to run simple coil on a Linux box like TurnKey Linux and host it my virtual environment without having to run emulators for Android or run Android x86 on a VM in a server environment. A turnkey appliance would be just that, no dinking around especially with the aforementioned client admin option.
These modifications would enable, for example, me to run a Linux box on VMware at the office on fiber and then have my friends connect over cellular to the hosted simplecoil instance. I could also set up more outdoor wireless APs is at my house if the cellular latency causes problems. WiFi is just more limiting.
