Editorial suggestion: hosted structured project memory #146

Description

@mironovisa

Problem

Your June 2026 MCP memory comparison focuses mainly on semantic/vector conversational-memory systems. A separate category is useful for teams that need hosted, shared, structured project context across MCP clients rather than autonomous semantic recall.

Proposed Solution

Please consider adding datamcp Agent Memory as a distinct hosted structured project-memory option, not as a direct benchmark-ranked replacement for Dakera or the vector-memory products already compared.

Verified scope:

  • hosted remote HTTPS MCP connection
  • separate project namespaces and MCP links scoped to one project
  • curated canonical Rules and Project Summary documents with a proposal/review path
  • append-only structured work-log entries
  • PostgreSQL full-text search with text, date, tag, file, type, importance, and session filters
  • durable structured Markdown summaries and compact handoff context
  • Read Only, Read & Append, and Full Access link permissions

Current limitations worth stating explicitly: no semantic/vector retrieval, no automatic memory capture, and no edit/delete tools for work-log entries. datamcp has no published LoCoMo, LongMemEval, or BEAM result, so I am not asking for a benchmark score or ranking.

Documentation: https://datamcp.app/docs
Public repository: https://github.com/datamcpapp/datamcp-app
Official MCP Registry: io.github.mironovisa/datamcp (0.9.9)

I can provide a restricted test project if you want to validate the hosted workflow before mentioning it.

Alternatives Considered

I looked for an editorial contact, but the Dakera site directs questions and feedback to GitHub issues.
