How to build StandAlone Full Setup msi?

I know that omaha support AppSetupFull + GoogleUpdateSetup = StandAloneSetupFull but don't know how to build it :(
I try delete standalone folder then build to see what happen but building done without error. But I know this folder related to what i need
So, how do you do that?

This is how to do that magic :d

omaha\omaha\standalone\standalone_installers.txt

add below as one line to end of file

D:/...full path to.../yourchrome.exe => path to your full source setup package

{4994F468-38FE-4D21-B659-A77C659E4A9A} => your app GUID, not omaha GUID1

D:/...full path to.../yourchrome/yourchrome_installers.txt => I tell you full content of this file below

('YourChrome', 'YourChrome_StandaloneInstaller', [('35.0.1916.160', 'D:/...full path to.../yourchrome.exe', '{4994F468-38FE-4D21-B659-A77C659E4A9A}')], None, None, None, False, '', 'D:/...full path to.../yourchrome/yourchrome_installers.txt')

create new file, note that its name is your app GUID
omaha\omaha\standalone\manifests{4994F468-38FE-4D21-B659-A77C659E4A9A}.gup
file contents (need modify your web page and GUID to your app GUID):

add new file
yourchrome_installers.txt

coding=iso-8859-15

Each line is a Python tuple (output executable name, whether the

installer in question needs administrator privileges to install/update,

language, browser, usage stats, [(GUID, display name, ap)]).

Note that the last part of the tuple is a list of tuples of the form [GUID, language, ap]

@PonyPC, not sure I understand what do you mean. Do you mean you have an executable file and want to pack it to an msi?

@ilyalarkin I packed chromium to mini_installer.exe, it is an executable file, not a msi file.
then i build omaha client, and run it.
the mini_installer is run successfully, but omaha client say that setup is not successful, and the error code is 0x80040905.
So please figure out where am i wrong?

@PonyPC This error code means that you need to customize your version of chromium project Omaha client, because it uses the same registry area as Google Updater.

@PonyPC Here is some update for your issue. In case if you continuously get the 0x80040905 error, please make sure that your mini_installer creates the following registry key:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\<CompanyName>\Update\Clients\{<AppID>}]
"name"="<AppName>"
"pv"="<AppVersion>"

where:

• CompanyName - is the name of your customized Omaha client;
• AppID - is an ID of your application/msi file/mini_installer;
• AppName - is a name of the application, e.g. "BestAppEver";
• AppVersion - is a version of the application, e.g. "0.0.0.1".

Please pay attention, that the pv field must be the same as the version number of your application. Otherwise you will get the same error. Let us know if this helped.

P.S. Also, please make sure, that CHROME_APP_ID has an appropriate value.
