Meta data for Workflows (Changes for CLI support)

I would like to introduce the possibilities of meta data for workflows.
The origin of this requirement is the generation of CLI compatible from MSML workflows.
Following data is missing in contrast of CLI:

• Workflow
  • License
  • Contributor
  • Version
  • Description
  • Acknowledgements
  • Documenation URL
  • category
  • title/name
• For variables
  • Channel (Input and Output files)
    • Output files are generally not deriveable from a workflow
  • Description
  • output variables

If this in your interests? Are there use cases you have in mind? Should we make this meta data external?

If one would think about some form of report generation after each MSML run, this type of meta information could also be usefull.

The question is: Is a simple Key/Value metadata sufficient, or should we provide a meta system with namespaces and complex xml elements.
