Quiting the app stop blocking.

Is there way to continue blocking even if the app is quit or stop the app in quit if it's in session.

Are you looking to have the app block sites/apps even when the app is not running?

@rphovley yes. I mean in Hard Mode the app should block even when the app is not running.
Like Heyfocus etc does.

If session running either

1. user should not able to quit the app.
2. or some background agent should block the apps etc.

Ah, yeah I see. I'll think about how we can implement preventing hard mode focus sessions from being abandoned. Likely option 1 will be the first thing

@rphovley I am missing this feature as well.
I want to switch to ebb but I can terminate the session by quitting app so that's why I use other blocker app.
Could you please prioritise this.

Also I would suggest an extra hard mode or something where snoozing while in session is also not possible.

Started working on preventing quitting the app in hard mode a couple days ago.

Will need to look at the snooze prevention but I think we had planned to make that part of hard mode as well. I think that would be released with the app quit prevention

As an update on this had a prototype of this that I was hoping I could pull off quickly. Unfortunately, Tauri, the tool I'm using for building the backend of the desktop app doesn't let me override this functionality atm.

I already was looking into making Ebb an "accessory" that isn't in the dock and operates more like a spotlight window and only exists in the mac tray. This is a bigger lift to get this in, but the interest here definitely increases the priority for getting to this change
