For better distributing planar:

• add directly to a julia project as a package
• distribute using pip install (this would be done after support for writing strategies directly in python)

Devcontainers could be an interesting idea also.

there is already:

• .envrc and user/.envrc files
• Dockerfile and .dockerignore
• planar doesn't use external services, it uses Zarr (although a vendored version that should be updated)

the only thing missing apart from the devcontainer file would be notebook integration
