Agenda

This is a design walkthrough of the redesign of SeedSigner by Yishi.

What’s this session about?

In this session, she'll share how she approached redesigning an open-source Bitcoin hardware wallet from an industrial designer’s perspective.

We’ll cover:

  • How to think about turning abstract ideas into real products

  • Her end-to-end design process: research, concept, form, and prototyping

  • How she used AI tools to speed up ideation and iteration

  • What decisions matter most when designing physical products — especially in early-stage projects

Rather than focusing on polished results, I’ll walk through real thinking, experiments, and trade-offs behind the project.

Who is this for?

This talk is especially helpful for:

  • Designers who haven’t worked on industrial / hardware projects before

  • Builders and founders creating their own products without a design background

  • Anyone curious about combining AI with traditional product design workflows

If you’re exploring how to move from idea → object, this is for you.

At what stage is this project?

This is a fast, self-initiated concept project created as a one-week design sprint.
It includes concept development, AI-assisted form exploration, and a physical prototype.

The goal is not manufacturing-ready output — but demonstrating how quickly you can validate product direction with modern tools.
