Hardware Diagnostics / Monitoring

  • HWiNFO

    Basically the WHOLE diagnostic/stat get-up. Pairs well with RTSS.

  • // RTSS

    Tool for showing live stats while in-game. Tutorial
    // Tend to just use the software my GPU comes with.

  • // XMeters

    Nice for easily checking PC stats like CPU usage on the taskbar.
    // I could live without it on Windows 11.

  • CPU-Z

    Utility for CPU info and many other useful stuff.

  • GPU-Z

    Similar to CPU-Z, just for GPU stuff instead.

  • // Fan Control

    Nice for keeping my GPU cooler instead of using bulky Afterburner.
    // Usually let my GPU just sort it out with firmware.

  • MSI Afterburner

    Still pretty good though.

Firefox Browser (Addon/UserScript)

I personally use Waterfox, but you can use whatever fork you like. Ungoogled Chromium is also a nice Chromium based browser.

Windows (Interface) Modification

  • // OpenShell

    Adds a customizable start menu, good if you want a little XP in your 10.
    // The Win10 aesthetic has grown on me over time. // Update, the Win11 Taskbar fucking sucks lmao.

    Customize hidden things, nice QOL stuff right here. // I'm lazy and don't see a specific reason right now on Windows 11...

    Live desktop wallpaper support, free alternative to Wallpaper Engine.

    Nice productivity apps for windows.

    A very smooth and simple video player, forked and updated from the original.

    The BIG V, plays most formats and various built-in tools.
    // MPC-HC just does what I need it to codec wise, which is fine.

  • AIMP

    My favourite music player. LOTS of customization and plugins to play most formats nicely.

    Neat image viewing software, highly customizable. // Bit too much

  • ImageGlass

    Your average run-of-the-mill comic book reader (Free Version has annoying update popups).

  • CDisplayEx

    Peer-2-Peer filesharing client using Soulseek, mostly used for audio.

    Graphical front-end for YouTube-DLP, if you dont wanna use command lines to download YouTube vids. Very bright though 😎.

    Really great free image editing software with lots of plugins and support. Plugin List

    Better than most simple editors though a great alternative for a alot more in-depth editing is Davinci Resolve

    FREE MS OFFICE, YEAH.

    Sudo Wudo.

  • Joyxoff

    Xbox controller remapper, nice for media controls and mouse movement for games and such.

  • WizTree

    The FASTEST Disk Space Analyzer.

  • WizFile

    The FASTEST File Finder... Analyzer.

  • Windows Terminal

    Oh my god it's so good if you use CMD / Powershell alot, you can even set it up with Autohotkey to open with a shortcut.

  • USB Device Tree Viewer

    Tool for diagnosing usb ports.

    Python programme to stalk people with...

  • Rufus

    Simple and fast flashing tool.

  • Mod Organizer 2

    Mod manager for most of Bethesda's Gamebryo / Creation Engine games.

  • // Oracle VM VirtualBox

    // My preffered virtual machine software would still be Hyper-V though.

  • FAT32 Format

    Handy tool for formatting things bigger than 32Gb, mostly used for older hardware like MP3 players.
