Starcatcher Fish Integration Question

Yo BONNe!

Hope you're doing great mang! I'm throwing together a small streamer modpack that uses the Starcatcher mod https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/starcatcher which adds like 100 different fish.

If I wanted to tweak AnimalPen to work with those fish, am I going to have to do a separate file for each fish? Or is there a more clever way to just say "add all Starcatcher fish".

Unfortunately, you need to add a file for each fish if you want to have custom interactions and feeding.

If you just want them to be pickable, then you can just add it in water_mob_container_pickable tag.

I looked into this mod, and they actually have just one fish: "starcatcher:fish". This means you only need one file, and it should work.

However, there is a bit of a bug where picking up a fish with the Aquatic Jar both captures it and drops a dead version of it. Releasing it will result in a random fish. This happens because all fish are actually the same entity, with different "skins" stored in the body armor.

Unfortunately, my mod does not know how to handle these situations. If you really need it, I could look into making a hook mod that tries to fix these issues.
