it resets the state to "normal" aka no state.

I'd call it !normal as that's what the term is

sure, don't have a strong preference either way :)

Punting on this for v0.3. It would be nice if using a keyword in a post also updated the DOM, and that's going to be more difficult.

Also, the syntax should be !{$state_slug}
