Description

You encounter the bug type SUPERFAN. She explains to you that she's willing to go anywhere in her pursuit of bug type pokemon. She offers to show you her bug types in battle, but she'd also be happy to see your own collection of bug types.

• Show her your bug type pokemon

  • You show her the bug type pokemon on your own team. Only available if you have at least one bug type.
  • Count bug types based on their current typing. This includes pokemon whose types have been randomized by other MEs as well as fusions that have the bug type.
  • If you have one bug type:
    • She's happy that you're starting out your bug type journey and offer to help you get going.
    • Reward: Choose between a great lure or 5 great balls.
  • If you have two or three bug types:
    • She's happy to see that you're interested in bug types, and she offers to help you become a true bug type fan.
    • Reward: Choose between a super lure, 5 ultra balls, or a quick claw.
  • If you have four of five bug types:
    • She's very happy to meet someone so dedicated to bug type pokemon. She hopes you'll consider becoming a bug type specialist.
    • Reward: Choose between a super lure, 5 rogue balls, or a grip claw.
  • If you have six bug types:
    • She's thrilled to meet someone who loves bug type pokemon as much as she does. She's thankful for the chance to meet you and rewards you with an item of particular value.
    • Reward: a random mega stone for one of the pokemon in your party, or a max mushroom. If you have no eligible pokemon, she gives you a master ball instead.

• Offer to help her on her journey

  • You can give her a silver powder, a quick claw, or a grip claw from one of your pokemon.
  • Reward: she will tutor move a bug move from the list below onto any of your PKMN, regardless of move eligibility:
    • Bug Bite
    • Infestation
    • Heal Order
    • Bug Buzz
    • Leech Life
    • U-Turn

Explanation/Notes on Design

The golden bug net is a trainer item that has a 10% chance of replacing any wild encounter with a decently rare bug type pokemon. The list of 'rare bug type pokemon' would probably be a curated list.

For her battle, the pool 1 pokemon are as follows:

• Parasect, Venomoth, Ledian, Ariados, Yanma, Beautifly, Dustox, Masquerain, Ninjask, Volbeat, Illumise, Anorith, Kricketune, Wormadam (any form), Mothim, Skorupi, Larvesta, Vivillion (any form), Charjabug, Ribombee, Spidops, Lokix.

The pool 2 pokemon are as follows:

• Scyther, Pinsir, Forretress, Scizor, Shuckle, Heracross, Shedinja, Armaldo, Vespiquen, Drapion, Yanmega, Leavanny, Scolipede, Crustle, Escavalier, Galvantula, Accelgor, Vikavolt, Araquanid, Orbeetle, Centiskorch, Frosmoth, Kleavor, Rabsca.

The pool 3 pokemon are as follows:

• Mega Pinsir, Mega Scizor, Mega Heracross, Durant, Volcarona, Golisopod, Gmax orbeetle, Gmax Centiskorch.

An event that can happen in almost any biome. Can give players very good rewards in very specific circumstances, but otherwise gives only decent rewards.

  • The player starts a battle against the bug trainer's team, but can only use the bug types they own.
  • If the player wins, they are rewarded with a Grip Claw

  • The bug trainer gives you an item based on the number of bug types you have
    • 1: Super Lure
    • 2-3: Quick Claw
    • 4-5: Reviver Seed
    • 6: Multi-Lens
• Give them a gift
  • Player gives the bug trainer a Silver Powder
