What does the keyword verbatim do?

I found it on the document, but I didn't bookmark that wiki page and forgot it. I can't find where it is now. Searching and navigating the document is a nightmare!

Weird, it doesn't seem to have it's own dedicated page.

verbatim is used to disable certain automatic behaviors of management procedures such as __defer__.

For example, when creating a custom __defer__ method

struct Person (firstname, lastname String) {
    func __defer__ {
        print("Person died")
    }
}

The __defer__ methods of the children will still automatically be called. If you want to disable this behavior and manually __defer__ the children, then you can do so by marking the function as verbatim.

struct Person (firstname, lastname String) {
    verbatim func __defer__ {
        print("Person died")
        this.firstname.__defer__()
        this.lastname.__defer__()
    }
}
