Image sequence according to distance travelled in GPX [Feature request]

Make it possible to extract images from the video according to the distance travelled not the time which has passed. E.g. one image every 5 meters, not every 2 seconds.

Any idea how to apporach this? The current script just uses ffmpeg functions.

Maybe GPSbabel, it' split option and CSV output might help ... you need a list of time points corresponding to the distance traveled of 5 meters.
